The Story of Atlantis Productions...
Way back when...there were just a few of the Hook-on Pilots left, we had a dream. A dream to tell their fascinating story to the world before there was no one left to tell it. A young man dragged his father, a retired pilot himself, to a reunion of Naval Airship Pilots and Crew in Pensacola, Florida. Admiral Simpler was there and the young man was enthralled when hearing the story of how a squadron of tiny airplanes "hooked-on" to a trapeze on the bottom of an airship two and half football fields long! So began a love affair with the big rigids. This website, which tells their story, through books and videos of these brave pilots and crew who flew the big rigids, those who built them and cared for them.
When you browse through these materials, you will be amazed at the incredible technology, some unduplicated today, that gave the world..... Airships.
Enjoy!
